Weapon description

LP.08 /Lange Pistole/ Persian contract, manufacturer Mauser (parts made by DWM), caliber 9 mm Luger, made in 1936, eight rounds (magazine capacity).

The weapon has the correct marking in Farsi corresponding to 1000 pieces of pistols delivered to Iran. The pistol is marked with the inscription Mauser Armory on the top of the joint slide. The Iranian coat of arms is stamped on top of the slide behind the front sight. The pistol is marked by last two-digit serial number on the front and back of the joint. The left side on the front part of the frame has a double crown above the U verification mark (the first crown is the acceptance mark) and the entire serial number is stamped behind it and the last two digits of the serial number are stamped on the release lever, cover plate, the extractor, the middle parts of the joint, on the hammer and on the safety lever. The front part of the bolt on this side also has a double crown above the U marking with a verification mark. The right side on the front part of the frame has a royal crown of the Pahlavi dynasty. Behind the crown there is a marking in Farsi – Long Parabellum model 1314 (the production year 1936 corresponds to the year 1314 in the Muslim calendar).

Wooden milled grip panels with dovetail are corresponding. Magazine is numbered with an aluminum bottom corresponding to the Persian contract.

The pistol includes an extension stock with a leather holster. Production number in Farsi is stamped on the stock on the left side behind the release. Leather holster corresponding to the weapon without marking. Inside the holster has a sewn-in pocket with a loading tool and the holster side has another pocket for a cleaning rod. The belt holds a double magazine pouch.
